Family, Friends, Ministries and Co-laborers, I need your help. December 30, 2011, I’ll be returning to Grenada to offer my gifts to support M.I.A. Missionary Rev. John Lewis in his mission of spreading the gospel to the islands. The purpose of this trip is  to spread the gospel abroad, bring awareness of G.I.T.E. and build relationship with ministries and worship teams from the islands for future mission opportunities. August 2011, I was blessed to join a few missionaries on a trip to Grenada with M.I.A.  I’ve been on mission trips before but was not prepared for what I was about to experience on the islands. I was blown away as I witnessed the Holy Spirit move on the hearts everywhere we ministered through worship and word.  Several souls were won for Christ the King.

Love, Lift Us Up is an original musical revue with ALL proceeds going directly to those affected by the tornados that hit Joplin and N. St. Louis, MO earlier this year.  Proceeds will be handled through Catholic Charities and the Salvation Army and earmarked for those who have lost the most, and in particular for those who have lost everything.  It is especially these people who receive the least (or no) government money and money from major charities because they do not have active addresses to be beneficiaries.   Additionally, FEMA is withdrawing money originally slated for Joplin to cover the hurricane disaster on the East coast.  We can’t comfort their loss of loved ones, but we can show them we care.

 

Love, Lift Us Up tells the inspirational stories of the people who endured the wrath of the tornados.  It is funny, entertaining, heartwarming, emotional but most of all, it is real.  It could have happened to any of us.  The aftermath of the tornados have touched each one of us in some way and by supporting this event we are able to help.  There are over 50 cast members in this production with full orchestra and choreography by New York and award winning choreographer, Tony Parise.  Love, Lift Us Up is produced by ARTS FOR LIFE, a 501(C)3 Arts organization dedicated to the “Healing power of the Arts”.  Show dates are Saturday, October 22 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm and Sunday, October 23 at 2 pm.  Tickets are $20 each and are general admission. For more information:  www.artsforlife.org or 314-795-2119.
